Yes, really! The Rio Theatre is beyond excited to welcome back our longtime friend, actor and bestselling author Greg Sestero to the venue to celebrate our favourite "so bad, it's good" movie's milestone, Sweet Sixteen anniversary! Join us for an illuminating night of behind-the-scenes goodness on the pop-culture masterpiece that is everyone's guiltiest cinematic pleasure, the bestest "best-worst" movie ever: THE ROOM.

More than just a regular screening of THE ROOM, Greg - aka "Mark" in the film, and whose subsequent 2013 memoir The Disaster Artist was adapted into the 2017 feature film of the same name - will also answer your many burning questions, sign copies of his book, and more! (Fun fact: It was at this same event at the Rio, in 2014, that James Franco first saw THE ROOM - and later that night, the two shook hands on adapting the feature! What a story!!!)

A marvel of modern cinema, Tommy Wiseau's THE ROOM is so powerful that it will, literally, "tear you apart." (Or, maybe just your brain. And occasionally your eyeballs.) In the pantheon of you-gotta-see-it-to-believe-it best-worst movies, it's quite possible that nothing tops THE ROOM. It's the CITIZEN KANE of bad movies!

And truly, truly, the best (trust!) way to experience this "masterpiece" is in the dark, on the big screen, and with a packed audience of confused (and enthused!) lovers of director Wiseau's bizarre cinematic oddity that has morphed into a pop-culture phenomenon.
