6:45pm - Monday, Mar 2, 2015

Director Ava Duverney's (one of only a handful of femsale directors whose film scored an Oscar nod for Best Picture) remarkable film SELMA chronicles one of the most turbulent (and triumphant) moments in American history, Martin Luther King's campaign to secure equal voting rights via an epic march from Selma to Montgomery, Alabama, in 1965. The film took home a Best Original Song Oscar for John Legend and Common's "Glory." Starring David Oyelowo, Oprah Winfrey, Carmen Ejogo, Giovanni Ribisi, Tom Wilkinson.
