Vampire's Kiss

Vampire's Kiss

11:30pm - Friday, Nov 30, 2018

Nicolas Cage - in what many consider to be his "Cage-iest" performance - stars as Peter Loew, a sleazy NYC literary agent, who prowls the bars in the evening looking for some action. One night he hooks up with a mysterious, sexy woman named Rachel (Jennifer Beals) and in the course of their relations, she bites him on the neck. When he wakes up the next morning, he doesn't feel quite right.... He is irritable, and has a hard time dealing with life at the literary agency, where his secretary takes the brunt of his ire. Suddenly, it dawns on Peter that he was bitten by a vampire, so he goes out and buys a set of real fangs.

Then the chaos begins.

"What really makes this worth seeing is Cage's outrageously unbridled performance." (Chicago Reader)

"What truly distinguishes the movie is Cage's performance, which is so off the wall that even if you don't like it you have to watch in awe." (TV Guide)

VAMPIRE'S KISS (Robert Bierman, 1988 / 14A / 103 mins) A publishing executive is visited and bitten by a vampire and starts exhibiting erratic behavior. He pushes his secretary to extremes as he tries to come to terms with his affliction. The vampire continues to visit and drink his blood, and as his madness deepens, it begins to look as if some of the events he's experiencing may be hallucinations.
