In Jim Jarmusch's moody, atmospheric, and darkly funny cult-classic DOWN BY LAW, three men (the near-perfect trio of Tom Waits, Roberto Benigni, and John Lurie) who were previously unknown to each other are arrested in New Orleans, and placed in the same jail cell.
