The Nest

Writer-director Sean Durkin follows up 2011’s phenomenal cult-thriller MARTHA MARCY MAY MARLENE with another nightmarish scenario with THE NEST. Jude Law stars as Rory, an ambitious entrepreneur who brings his American wife (Carrie Coon) and kids to his native country, England, to explore new business opportunities. After abandoning the sanctuary of their safe American suburban surroundings, the family is plunged into the despair of an archaic ’80s Britain and their unaffordable new life in an English manor house threatens to destroy the family.

“An effective pairing of period setting and timeless themes, ‘The Nest’ wrings additional tension out of its unsettling story with an outstanding pair of lead performances.” (Rotten Tomatoes)

“Jude Law and Carrie Coon aren’t the only reason to see Sean Durkin’s marital nightmare of a movie, but they are the main reason to see it.” (Rolling Stone Magazine)

“Terrific performances elevate this multilayered domestic drama, which doubles as a cautionary lesson in personal finance.” (Cinemalogue)
