The French Dispatch

9:30pm - Wednesday, Jan 12, 2022

Writer-director Wes Anderson's (THE ROYAL TENENBAUMS, THE LIFE AQUATIC WITH STEVE ZISSOU) latest, THE FRENCH DISPATCH, brings to life a collection of stories from the final issue of an American magazine published in a fictional 20th-century French city. The eclectic, A-list cast includes Benicio del Toro, Adrien Brody, Tilda Swinton, Léa Seydoux, Frances McDormand, Timothée Chalamet, Lyna Khoudri, Jeffrey Wright, Mathieu Amalric, Stephen Park, Bill Murray and Owen Wilson.

"It has everything that we've come to expect from Wes Anderson-carefully crafted aesthetics, perfect color palettes, and intricate tableaux of actors." (Chicago Reader)

"I think it's marvelous from minute to minute." (Filmweek / NPR)

"The movie is an anthology not only of vibrant magazine stories come to life, but of seemingly everything Anderson knows how to do as a director. For some, this will inevitably feel more like a limit. For the rest of us, it's one of his best." (Rolling Stone Magazine)

"'The French Dispatch' is perhaps [Wes] Anderson's best film to date. It is certainly his most accomplished." (The New Yorker)
