Studio 666 (Final Screening)
All of us at the Rio Theatre were deeply saddened to learn of the sudden passing of the Foo Fighters' incredibly talented, wildly charismatic, and endlessly cool drummer, Taylor Hawkins, last week. We wanted to give Foo fans another opportunity to see (and hear) the band's new film on our big screen one last time, so it's getting an encore on Saturday, April 2. (And yeah... We're gonna play this one just a little loud.) Taylor, this one's dedicated to you! Rest in Beats. (Rio Management)
In STUDIO 666, Rock & Roll Hall of Famers Foo Fighters move into an Encino mansion steeped in grisly rock history to record their much anticipated 10th album. Once in the house, Dave Grohl finds himself grappling with supernatural forces that threaten both the completion of the album and the lives of the band. With members of the Foo Fighters, Whitney Cummings, John Carpenter, Mike Escamilla, Will Forte, Lionel Ritchie, Jeff Garlin.
"Amiably silly and impressively gory, this lives up to both its low-budget inspirations and its rocker stars." (Empire Magazine)
"This is so relentlessly silly and stupid it's wonderful." (Filmweek NPR)
