Pink Flamingos (50th Anniversary 4K Restoration)

Legendary filmmaker John Waters' most famous (and certainly notorious) film, PINK FLAMINGOS, got the 4K restoration treatment as part of its 50th Anniversary... Even still, it's as tawdry, vile, and filthy as ever. In other words, this cult-classic midnighter ticks all our boxes as a pretty perfect Friday Late Night Movie, which is exactly what's happening on June 2.

In this comic homage to bad taste, plus-sized transvestite Divine stars as Babs Johnson, a felon hiding from the FBI in Baltimore with her degenerate family who commits incest and murder as she competes with a drug-running, baby-selling couple for the title of "Filthiest People Alive." With Mink Stole.

"Talk about an unlikely classic." (Miami Herald)

"Twenty-five years after Pink Flamingos was first unleashed, the film has lost none of its danger, its wit, its psychotic exuberance." (Entertainment Weekly)

"Pink Flamingos is, in its own unique way, the quintessential American Family Film. Not my family, certainly, and probably not yours, but a family nonetheless." (Austin Chronicle)

"As a snapshot of American life, Waters was almost prophetic." (Empire Magazine)
