Are You There, God? It's Me, Margaret.

For over fifty years, Judy Blume's classic and groundbreaking novel "Are You There God? It's Me, Margaret." has impacted generations with its timeless coming of age story, insightful humor, and candid exploration of life's biggest questions.

In this big-screen adaptation, 11-year-old Margaret (Abby Ryder Fortson) is uprooted from her life in New York City for the suburbs of New Jersey, going through the messy and tumultuous throes of puberty with new friends in a new school. She relies on her mother, Barbara (Rachel McAdams), who is also struggling to adjust to life outside the big city, and her adoring grandmother, Sylvia (Kathy Bates), who isn't happy they moved away and likes to remind them every chance she gets. With Benny Safdie.

"As a critic, I hesitate to use the word “perfect” but it is the first adjective that comes to mind." (Leonard Maltin)

"This is an astounding adaptation of a beloved book, capturing the essence of what made Judy Blume such a phenomenon while speaking in a voice that resonates whether you were Margaret’s age in 1970 or are a child in the here and now." (AV Club)

"A touching and tender adaptation that does justice to a book which means so much to so many. An enduring, superbly performed triumph." (Empire Magazine)

"Framed in a Polaroid-style Seventies haze, the mood is Classic Coke ad meets the Wonder Years, a sugary concoction that goes down perfectly." (Daily Telegraph)

"Much has changed since Blume first published her work. And, also, very little... Are You There God? It’s Me, Margaret remains a radical act of kindness." (Independent)
