Join us at the Rio Theatre on Sunday, August 13, as we prepare ourselves to tip our collective hat and raise an icy beverage to one of the absolute icons of cinema, Alfred Hitchcock (on his birthday!), with a 65th Anniversary screening of what many consider to be his greatest cinematic triumph, VERTIGO.

An erotic rumination on obsession and paranoia, it is considered, by many, to be his greatest cinematic achievement. James Stewart stars as an ex-police officer with an intense fear of heights who is hired to surveil an old friend's wife in the hopes of preventing her from committing suicide. But all is not as it seems, as his work moves from voyeurism to obsession. (It goes without saying that Hitchcock's haunting, compelling work is uniquely revelatory about the director's own predilections and hang-ups.) Also starring Kim Novak, and Barbara Bel Geddes.
