In My Own Time

Join us at the Rio Theatre on Saturday, January 27 for the Vancouver screening of IN MY OWN TIME.

IN MY OWN TIME is a documentary film that looks at what it means to die on one’s own terms. Using first-hand accounts from people across Canada, this film will offer perspectives on medical assistance in dying (MAID) less commonly seen in media reports and present an opportunity to educate people on end-of-life choice in Canada.

This independent documentary features emotional patient stories from across Canada, as well as expert commentary from Dr. Stefanie Green, MAID provider and author of THIS IS ASSISTED DYING; Kim King, friend of Audrey Parker. Audrey made national news in 2018 when she advocated for an important change in MAID legislation – the waiver of final consent; and Jocelyn Downie, University Research Professor in the Faculties of Law and Medicine at Dalhousie University.

Directed by Sandy Clipsham & Blair Cameron

Produced by Ward 1 Studios
