The Empire scrambles to maintain control in the galaxy after the destruction of Death Star 2. Imperial soldiers flee their posts at an exhaustive rate, and squads that remain loyal are punished for every deserter among their ranks by the new Supreme Leader Gallius Rax. Nova Squad, led by the ever loyal Torin Sereta is tasked with capturing the Empire's most wanted fugitive, former Grand Admiral Rae Sloane, by infiltrating the Rebels. When Torin discovers that the Rebel leader is a revenant of his past, his loyalties are challenged and a sinister conspiracy to destroy the Empire from within boils over.
