Badass 10 is coming live to the Rio - The Tenth Annual International Vancouver Badass Film Festival and Script Competition goes live at East Vancouver’s historic Rio Theatre for a pre-Halloween live experience you can’t download and the indie film community event of the horror season! It’s the genre film festival with: 22 films screened live with filmmakers, legendary live shows always featuring giant snakes, fire, carnival side-show, magic, horror burlesque, film-specific live surprises, and the wildest pre-Halloween costume contest in town over three programs Sunday October 20, 2024!
Badass 10 climaxes with the annual legendary shorts and awards gala, with fire acts, giant reptiles, magic, horror burlesque acts, celebrity hosts, 17 new horror/genre films with filmmakers Q&A, the 2024 genre film and script competition awards, and the wildest pre-Halloween costume contest in town. Act fast before it sells out!

*We have a small lobby, and kindly encourage patrons to arrive at least 30-45 minutes prior to showtime to ensure time for entry, locating seats, and getting snacks at concession.
