Based on the novel THE SHINING by Stephen King, Stanley Kubrick's work is regarded as a work of true cinematic genius. Featuring remarkable performances from a solid cast (Jack Nicholson, Shelley Duvall, Danny Lloyd, and Scatman Crothers), THE SHINING is best enjoyed on the big screen.

THE SHINING (Stanley Kubrick, 1980 / 18A) | A family heads to an isolated hotel for the winter where an evil and spiritual presence influences the father into violence, while his psychic son sees horrific forebodings from the past and of the future.

"Trick or treat... or die." John Carpenter's iconic HALLOWEEN (1978) made a star out of Jamie Lee Curtis and a pop-culture icon out of Michael Myers.

HALLOWEEN (John Carpenter, 1978 / 91 mins / 18A) | A psychotic murderer institutionalized since childhood for the murder of his sister, escapes and stalks a bookish teenage girl and her friends while his doctor chases him through the streets.

Since its release in 1996, director Robert Rodriguez' vampiresque FROM DUSK TILL DAWN - which falls somewhere in squarely in the comedy-horror-action-crime genre - has grown into a total cult classic. Quentin Tarantino (who penned the script) does double duty here alongside George Clooney, Juliette Lewis, Harvey Keitel, Salma Hayek, Cheech Marin, And Danny Trejo.

FROM DUSK TILL DAWN (Robert Rodriguez, 108 mins / 1996) | Two criminals and their hostages unknowingly seek temporary refuge in an establishment populated by vampires, with chaotic results.
