The 17th Annual Animation Show Of Shows: Matinee

The 17th Annual Animation Show Of Shows: Matinee

12:30pm - Sunday, Nov 1, 2015

The Rio Theatre is pleased to present the acclaimed ANIMATION SHOW OF SHOWS – for the first time ever in Vancouver!

Now in its 17th year, THE ANIMATION SHOW OF SHOWS is one of the world’s top animated short film compilations, prized by industry professionals, students, and fans (annually packing the 6500-seat theater at Comic-Con). Event producer, curator and animation expert Ron Diamond (who will be joining us in person on November 1!) has scouted 37 Oscar nominees and 14 winners from around the globe, and for the first year is bringing the collection to audiences in select cities. Also included are engaging short profiles of several of the animators. Included in this exquisite collection of animated shorts are films by talented filmmakers such as Don Hertzfeldt, Amanda Palmer and many, many more. A full list of the program is below.
