Nosferatu

Visionary filmmaker Robert Eggers (THE VVITCH, THE LIGHTHOUSE, THE NORTHMAN) latest cinematic vision is a lifelong passion project borne from a stage play production he co-directed in high school based off of F.W. Murnau's iconic 1922 silent film "Nosferatu: A Symphony of Horror." The experience left a deep impression, and sparked his love of the horror genre. In 2024, he came full circle with the hyper-stylized visual stunner NOSFERATU, which elevates the classic story through its refined, narrative depth, incredible production value, and its fantastic ensemble.

Set in the 1830s, estate agent Thomas Hutter travels to Transylvania for a fateful meeting with Count Orlok, a prospective client. In his absence, Hutter's new bride, Ellen, is left under the care of their friends, Friedrich and Anna Harding. Plagued by horrific visions and an increasing sense of dread, Ellen soon encounters an evil force that's far beyond her control. With Lily-Rose Depp, Nicholas Hoult, Bill Skarsgård, Aaron Taylor-Johnson, Willem Dafoe, Emma Corin.

NOSFERATU is nominated for four Academy Awards in 2025, including Best Achievement in Makeup and Hairstyling, Best Achievement in Cinematography, Best Achievement in Production Design, and Best Achievement in Costume Design.

"Robet Eggers has now made a Dracula movie that’s more than an exercise, more than an assertion of talent. There’s a vision at work." (New York Times)

"Bill Skarsgård does his thing phenomenally, backed by top-notch prosthetic makeup and the use of a sinister voice." (Los Angeles Times)

"What [Robert] Eggers truly comprehends is that Nosferatu is not about sex. It’s about power. Pure, malevolent, selfish, devastating power." (Austin Chronicle)

"Robert Eggers is a filmmaker with astonishing visual flair." (Seattle Times)
