Strange Brew
Making the world safe for beer drinkers everywhere!
Canadian comedy icons Rick Moranis and Dave Thomas star as Doug and Bob MacKenzie, two regular hosers out to save the world--one beer at a time--after they discover a comically nefarious global plot in a mug of a Strange Brew.
In this certified Can-Con cult-classic romp very, very loosely based on Shakespeare's Hamlet, "SCTV" characters Doug and Bob find the job of their dreams at the Elsinore brewery. But something's rotten in the fermentation vats as the MacKenzies find that deranged Brewmeister Smith plans to commit the ultimate sacrilege--tamper with the beer. Now, can Doug and Bob foil Smith's scheme for world domination by inducing mind control through Elsinore's beer? Featuring the voice of Mel Blanc as Mr. McKenzie. With Max Von Sydow, Paul Dooley.
"[A] funny movie about a couple of Canadians who sit around and drink a lot." (Austin Chronicle)
