La Dolce Vita

We couldn't think of a better way to mark Italian Day on the Drive than by showcasing some of our favourite Italian films, including Vittorio De Sica's THE BICYCLE THIEF ("Ladri di biciclette"), Federico Fellini's LA DOLCE VITA and Luca Guadagnino's CALL ME BY YOUR NAME. Single film tickets for all movies just $8!

Marcello Marstroianni and Anita Ekberg star in LA DOLCE VITA - one of the best from one of the best, Federico Fellini. A dazzling film that weaves elements of the surreal and magical to humbly expose honest elements of the human condition via a week in the life of a philandering paparazzo journalist (Mastroianni, in one of his most memorable performances), living in Rome.

"Perhaps many spectators will squirm at the three-hour length of the film or of some of its sequences (though director Federico Fellini cut some 30 minutes from his final print), yet others will never notice they've sat that long." (Variety)

"It is a brilliant film, but there is nothing sweet about it." (Guardian)

"This film defined a decade before the decade arrived." (Financial Times)
