Day of the Dead (40th Anniversary Screening)

George A. Romero’s DAY OF THE DEAD, the apocalyptic final chapter of the ultimate zombie trilogy, returns for its 40th Anniversary!

Whole generations of horror lovers had never seen any of Romero’s zombie classics at a theatre or drive-in, but in November 2021 Red Band Releasing started helping book the original DAWN OF THE DEAD into venues across U.S. and Canada, eventually getting it shown in both 2-D and 3-D on over 500 screens! Now in 2025 Red Band is thrilled for the opportunity to help fellow George A. Romero fans celebrate the 40th Anniversary of the original DAY OF THE DEAD by seeing it as the legendary director intended – ON THE BIG SCREEN!

DO NOT MISS this rare chance to experience the shocks of THE DARKEST DAY OF HORROR THE WORLD HAS EVER KNOWN – ON THE BIG SCREEN!

When first released in 1985, many horror fans weren’t ready for the bleaker, more nihilistic and grisly horrors of DAY, particularly not after the lighter, at times comedic, action/adventure of its predecessor DAWN OF THE DEAD. Some fans didn’t understands or appreciate the change of direction, but there were several who saw what George was doing under the surface, and over the years it has been re-watched, re-experienced and re-evaluated to the point where DAY OF THE DEAD is now seen by many as one of the greatest horror movies ever made! (RED BAND RELEASING)

"The movie represents Romero's very best writing, with unusually strong characters for a gore picture." (San Francisco Chronicle)

"If you stomach can take it, you will definitely be amused by this." (L.A. Weekly)
