Middle Life (w. Filmmaker Q&A)
MIDDLE LIFE follows Andie (Leah Fay Goldstein), a perfectionist wedding planner in her mid-thirties and new mother, who has meticulously crafted her life but still feels unfulfilled. Fresh off maternity leave, she saves Ryan (Peter Dreimanis, SINNERS), a blue-collar plumber, from a roadside accident. As their paths intertwine over the next year, her craving for change and his newfound perspective on life spark an unexpected connection, leading them to discover that life could be great. Toronto Premiere.
Written and directed by Pavan Moondi ('Schitt's Creek,' 'Sundowners,' 'Diamond Tongues'), MIDDLE LIFE stars July Talk bandmates Leah Fay Goldstein and Peter Dreimanis. Goldstein was previously Canadian Screen Award-nominated for her starring turn in DIAMOND TONGUES, while Dreimanis made his screen debut earlier this year in Ryan Coogler’s SINNERS. Luke Lalonde, front man of the indie rock band Born Ruffians, co-stars. With Norah Sadava and Colin Burgess.
"A charming and fresh rom-com." (The Globe and Mail)
July Talk bandmaes / castmates Leah Fay Goldstein and Peter Dreimanis will be joining us live via the interwebs for a post-show Q&A following the screening.
