Sportsko Srce (Canadian Premiere)

Presented by System Entertainment

Sportsko srce je topla komedija o sudaru dva nespojiva sveta kada mlada Maja odluči da spoji svog verenika, sofisticiranog Beograđanina Pavla, sa svojim ocem Macurom, harizmatičnim vlasnikom zemunske pečenjare. Dok Maja pokušava da "ugladi" oca za sudbonosni porodični ručak, a Pavle balansira između ljubavi i uticaja svoje dominantne majke, na površinu izbijaju generacijski jaz i duboko ukorenjene predrasude. Kroz niz komičnih nesporazuma, ova priča nas podseća da su iskrenost i prihvatanje jedini put ka zajedničkoj budućnosti, ma koliko različiti bili naši koreni.

Sport Heart is a warm comedy about the collision of two incompatible worlds when young Maja decides to unite her fiance Pavla, the sophisticated man from Belgrade, with her father Macura, the charismatic owner of a bakery in Zemun. While Maya tries to "polite" her father for the fateful family lunch, and Pavle balances the love and influence of his domineering mother, the generation gap and deep-rooted prejudices come to the surface. Through a series of comic misunderstandings, this story reminds us that honesty and acceptance are the only way to a shared future, no matter how different our roots.

Based on popular theatre play premiered at Zvezdara Theatre in Belgrade, Serbia on 4th of December 2021.
