Bonnie and Clyde

In a truly impressive career full of highlights, legendary director Arthur Penn's (The Miracle Worker, Little Big Man) most celebrated film remains 1967's ultra stylish, sexy, and ultimately very violent romantic crime drama BONNIE AND CLYDE. The iconic Depression-era tale of the doomed outlaw couple is the stuff of American pulp lore; their courting fame (or notoriety) and using the media during their bank robbing spree in the 1930s adds an undeniable level of thematic depth to the film and the story. Considered a landmark feature in American cinema, BONNIE AND CLYDE stars Warren Beatty and Faye Dunaway as the titular outlaws Bonnie Parker and Clyde Barrow, and includes memorable performances from Estelle Parsons (who won a Best Supporting Actress Oscar for her part), Michael J. Pollard, Gene Hackman, Denver Pyle, and Gene Wilder.
