Canada Day NFB Animation Jamboree
Academy Award winning animator and Vancouver resident David Fine introduces some of his favourite National Film Board animated short films, many of them Academy Award winners or nominees, and all of them unique and personal visions. David will explain why he loves these singular films and how they influenced his own career.
The program includes two films he made with his partner, Alison Snowden (Oscar-winner Bob’s Birthday and Oscar-nominee Animal Behaviour) as well as eight other classics, including his all-time faves The Big Snit and The Street. You may have seen some of these films before but seeing them with an audience on the big screen at the Rio makes them worth seeing again. Not to mention the door prizes!
