We are dimming the lights and firing up the projector in tribute to the late, great actor Tim Curry with a Friday Late Night Movie screening of one of his most memorable turns that lives forever in the dreams (and nightmares) of 80s kids everywhere, Ridley Scott's darkly romantic fantasy fable LEGEND.
While not recognized as a commercial triumph upon its release in 1985, the film has grown into a cult-classic thanks to Scott's overall stunning and moody production design that brings to life a grand, gothic fairy tale world featuring unicorns, magic swamps, dwarfs and rainbows. The story follows a young, mystical forest-dweller on a quest to stop the Lord of Darkness from destroying daylight, and marrying the woman he loves. With Tim Curry, Tom Cruise, Mia Sara and Billy Barty.
