The Rivals of Amziah King

Deep within the backwoods of rural Oklahoma, charismatic and musically gifted Amziah King herds a bluegrass band of misfits while overseeing the premiere honey-making operation in town. When his estranged foster daughter unexpectedly returns, Amziah leaps at the possibility to reconnect and create a family business. With Matthew McConaughey, Angelina LookingGlass, and Kurt Russell.

"I like my elegiac masterpieces the way I like Matthew McConaughey: COVERED IN BEES." (The Wrap)

"There’s a giddy exuberance that captures the unexpected wildness of farm life, from hijinks with a rogue swarm to the seemingly constant background roar of Red Dirt classics." (Austin Chronicle)

"This is a raucous, exciting, occasionally shocking, ultimately uplifting story of community, sacrifice, and shared values." (RogerEbert.com)

"A cinematic buffet of all-you-can-eat incongruity that adds up to one tasty dish. At once a toe-tapping musical, a Gothic whodunnit, a jaw-dropping dark comedy and a hardboiled revenge flick, The Rivals of Amziah King is a Southern-fried delight." (Globe and Mail)

"As subtly sharp as it is sweet, it’s one of the year’s most enlivening standouts." (The Daily Beast)
