Muppet Treasure Island (Tim Curry Tribute)
Join us at the Rio Theatre as we dim the lights, fire up the projector, and raise a glass in tribute to the late, great actor Tim Curry with a puppet-filled, 30th Anniversary screening of MUPPET TREASURE ISLAND.
A favourite for 90s kids everywhere, this family-friendly favourite is a reworking of Robert Louis Stevenson's classic tale in which The Muppets take to the high seas in search of buried treasure. Young Jim Hawkins is given a treasure map by a mysterious sailor and sets sail with his friends the Great Gonzo and Rizzo the Rat. Among the crew is the mutinous sea dog Long John Silver (peak Curry), who has his own plans for the loot. With Tim Curry, Jennifer Saunders, Billy Connelly, Kevin Bishop.
