The RIO THEATRE presents the 5th Annual DEAD ON FILM Short Horror Film Competition!!!

Tickets $10 advance/ $12 at the door

No Groupons or passes for this event

Contestants who have submitted their best 5 minute HORROR Short Film could be chosed to be one of The TOP 10 shorts will be screened on Thursday Aug 25th - the winner will be decided by audience & special guest judges vote. The winner will receive the coveted ZOSCAR Trophy, a CASH PRIZE of $1,000 and other unspeakable delights!!! Our Top 3 winners will also be shown in the fall at the RIO GRIND FESTIVAL 2017.

The first 3 years of Dead on Film were devoted strictly to Zombies - THIS year we are looking for short horror films of ALL types! Zombies are still welcome, as are ALL monsters, maniacs & evil spirits...only one criteria - someone's gotta die!

Prizes: $1,000 CASH!
Plus other Great Prizes TBA!!!

Our previous years' competitors screened in front of sold out audiences of 420!!!

Submission DEADline is Wednesday August 15th at MIDNIGHT. Submission fee is $30.

Submission fee can be dropped off in person or by mail to the RIO Theatre, 1660 East Broadway, Vancouver BC V5N 1W1 RIO Theatre drop off hours Monday - Thursday 6pm-10pm, Friday (6pm-Midnight), Saturdays & Sundays (5-10pm).
