Batman (1989)
9:45pm - Saturday, May 13, 2017
On Saturday, May 13 we're celebrating the one and only Jack Nicholson with a Jack Off! Double Feature highlighting two memorable - not to mention very different - turns from one of cinema's most celebrated actors. Join us at 7:00 pm for CHINATOWN, then stick around and dance with the devil in the pale moonlight for BATMAN (1989) at 9:45 pm. See one, or see 'em both!
In Tim Burton's electric BATMAN, Jack Nicholson stars as maniacal villain The Joker, the victim of a horrible accident who morphed into a crazed criminal. Michael Keaton stars as the fabled Dark Knight, who emerged from his own childhood trauma to become a masked crimefighter. BATMAN also stars Kim Basinger as love interest Vicki Vale, the talented photojournalist desired by both men. Featuring a score by Danny Elfman and a title track from Prince.
"BATMAN is a stunning achievement, especially through the incredible and unique visualization of director Tim Burton." (The Hollywood Reporter)
"Nicholson's Joker is a villain worthy of a real superhero and Keaton's Batman gets to perform some cinematic superheroics of the first order." (People Magazine)
