The Wizard of Oz

The Wizard of Oz

5:30pm - Saturday, Jul 8, 2017

"Toto, I've a feeling we're not in Kansas any more..."

As a young farm girl caught in one of the most candy-coated, kaleidoscopic whirlwind fantasy fables ever, Judy Garland delivers one of the most iconic performances of all time in one of the most iconic films of all time - THE WIZARD OF OZ.

From the moment it was first published in 1900, Frank L. Baum's children's novel 'The Wonderful Wizard of Oz' captured the hearts and minds of audiences young and old alike, blossoming into a modern day "American homegrown fairy-tale" that has since borne sequels, musicals, and - of course - THE WIZARD OF OZ. In addition to it being one of the first major studio films to use the highly saturated Technicolor technology, THE WIZARD OF OZ features a beloved music score and songs, not to mention too many quotable lines to count. Considered to be one of the best films of all time and a genuine pop-culture staple, THE WIZARD OF OZ is best enjoyed on the big screen - and with bigger sound.

THE WIZARD OF OZ (Victor Fleming, 1939 / 102 mins / G) Dorothy Gale is swept away from a farm in Kansas to a magical land of Oz in a tornado. She embarks on a quest along a yellow brick road with her new friends - a lion, a scarecrow and a tin man - to speak with an enigmatic Wizard who can help her return home, and her friends ask for the things they miss most in their lives... But will the Wicked Witch of the West stop them?
